Week 3 in the books! I feel like I am still in “easy” mode, so I guess that is a good thing.
The reason I feel like this is because I haven’t hit double digits yet, so this all just feels like I am running to run. Does that make any sense? I read over that sentence 5 times. I am just going to go with it!
Here is what my week looked like, I only ran three days and took off four. It is tough with working 50+hours, rushing home to give my son a bath and coordinate with my husband on running days. BUT, I am not complaining.
Friday I was scheduled to run, but I woke up and felt so sore from my tempo run on Thursday that I just foam rolled my legs out.
My goal is to stick with running four days and do cross training on my days off.
Monday: Off
Tuesday: Still getting used to running in the dark, have I told you that I am afraid of the dark. So not only is it really hard to get up at 4:30 am to run, but then to do it in the pitch black makes it that much harder.
Wednesday: Off
Thursday: 4 Miles after work.
Friday: Off
Saturday: 7 Miles, my longest run in two years. I actually felt really good with energy towards the end, there wasn’t a crash like there was last weekend. Plus, I didn’t have my son in the stroller
Sunday: Off, but went for an hour walk up-hill with the family.
Total Mileage: 13.6 miles
Fastest Mile: 11:24 minute/mile
Slowest Mile: 12:02 minute/mile (Long Run Pace)
Long Run: 7.02 Miles
I am closing in on my first month of training, so check back next Sunday for my Marathon Training – Month 1 Recap.
